USD $17.67

The Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte is a delicious, healing blend of organic turmeric + cinnamon + ginger and wild vanilla bean. We also add a pinch of piperline (black pepper) to enhance the nutrient absorption of curcumin, which is the antioxidant in turmeric.

Turmeric Latte or also known as “golden milk” possesses incredible anti-inflammatory properties, which means this soothing elixir is really good for you.

Turmeric Latte is my absolute favourite drink other than a hot tea. It is comforting, relaxing, and soothing, especially if you are highly stressed like me! Turmeric Latte is also rich in antioxidants that help heal and nourish my digestive and immune system.

Traditionally, turmeric milk comes from Ayurvedic practices and holistic medicine in Indian cultures. This healing blend is used to help anything from sore throats, colds, flu, as well as digestive and inflammation issues.

Curcumin is the potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory polyphenol found in turmeric and the richer and darker the turmeric, the more curcumin it contains, which is what you find in Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte.

Curcumin, the potent antioxidant found in turmeric that gives it its yellow colour, has been linked to the management of inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis, asthma, eczema and inflammatory bowel disease.

According to a study published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition, turmeric and curcumin have shown potential in preventing DNA damage and assists in DNA repair. That's good news for preventing disease and slowing down the ageing process.

Immune boosting

Because turmeric has high antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties, it may also assist in reducing the symptoms of cold and flu.

Researchers at George Mason University have found that curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, shows promise in combating certain viruses as curcumin strongly down-regulates the levels of extracellular infectious viruses.

Traditionally, turmeric has been used to aid in the treatment of stomach ulcers and reducing inflammation in people with arthritis and Ulcerative Colitis.

According to numerous studies, curcumin has proven to have anti-inflammatory effects, many of which may have the potential to aid in the treatment of diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, arthritis, Chron’s disease and cardiovascular disease.

Turmeric Can Alleviate Menopause Symptoms

Turmeric's active compound, curcumin, contains powerful anti-inflammatory ingredients and antioxidants that can boost your body's natural detoxification process and alleviate symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes and muscle aches.

Turmeric Can Support Digestive Health

Studies show that curcumin (the antioxidant in turmeric) plays a key role in the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cells in the digestive system. Curcumin could be a therapeutic agent in several inflammatory diseases, such as irritable bowel diseases, Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis.

Turmeric Can Support Skin Health

In a study published in the Journals of Drugs in Dermatology, it was found that turmeric was very helpful in helping sufferers manage their eczema. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of this spice are believed to be responsible for the reduction in inflammation, as well as providing other skin health benefits.

More importantly, Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte contains a more potent form of curcumin, which can be seen by the darker, more pigmented turmeric powder used. Glow from the inside out with nature’s golden tonic. Teresa Cutter

Turmeric Latte 100g

I love using our turmeric latte mix blended with homemade coconut milk that’s high in essential fats and minerals. Especially this time of year, I warm my milks before bedtime and add a knob of ghee for added nutrient absorption and gut health. I also enjoy the Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte in my breakfast smoothies, combined with banana, Healthy Chef Protein and homemade almond milk.

Combine ½ tsp of Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte with 1 cup (250ml) of your favourite milk. We love coconut, almond and rice milk, but organic full-fat dairy is also delicious. Heat the milk and Turmeric Latte blend together in a small pot and whisk gently. Alternatively, if you have a coffee machine, just heat the milk in a stainless steel jug. Pour Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte into your favourite mug or a large cup. Sweeten to taste with a little raw honey or maple syrup if desired. Try adding a small knob of ghee or cultured butter just before serving and drink just before bedtime.... this makes an extremely healing and nourishing drink for a good nights sleep.

Add ½ teaspoon of Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte to smoothies, protein shakes + raw juices for an uplifting anti-inflammatory boost. Blend Turmeric Latte with homemade macadamia nut milk, frozen banana, Healthy Chef Protein and ice for a nourishing and revitalising smoothie. Make a shaken iced turmeric latte by combining 1 ½ cups of almond milk with ½ - 1 teaspoon of Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte and a little honey to sweeten. Shake in your Healthy Chef Blender Bottle and serve over ice, garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy.

Add ½ - 1 teaspoon of Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte into a chia porridge or fold through coconut yoghurt just before serving. Stir ½ teaspoon through a warming winter oatmeal porridge. Serve drizzled with black tahini and sliced banana and a little raw honey if desired.

Add 1 teaspoon of Healthy Chef Turmeric Latte into your next cauliflower rice and serve with fresh chopped coriander and roasted tamari almonds. You can also sprinkle the blend over raw pumpkin chunks with some sea salt and olive oil, then roast in a moderate oven for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and blend with hot filtered water for the ultimate anti-inflammatory pumpkin soup. Serve with a dollop of Greek yoghurt or a drizzle of coconut cream.
